Former Irish diplomat and ocasional political commentator, Ray was Assistant Secretary General, in charge of Ireland’s consular services, Passport Office and Emergencies abroad also relations with the Irish Diaspora. From 2010 – 2016 he was Irish Ambassador to Canada, Bahamas and Jamaica, based in Ottawa. He is also a guest lecturer on International Relations at Yale University, USA.
