Ruairí Ó hUiginn is Senior Professor in the School of Celtic Studies at the Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies. He formerly was Professor of Modern Irish at Maynooth University and has held lecturing positions in the Universities of Uppsala, Bonn, Galway and at Queen's University Belfast. He has published widely on many aspects of the Irish language and its literature .
